The NICE Model

Restorative Practices Model

The NICE Model is grounded in restorative practices that prioritize connection, healing, and cultural responsiveness. Using circles, collaborative dialogue, and non-punitive approaches, NICE helps school communities strengthen relationships, resolve conflicts, and build emotional safety for students and staff.

The NICE Model is deeply influenced by the work of Kay Pranis,
a nationally recognized leader in Peacemaking Circles and restorative justice. Kay Pranis has trained the entire NICE team, shaping the program’s framework and guiding its commitment to empathy, accountability, and community-based problem-solving.
